Validate the observation#
Use the blocklist operator’s own lookup or an authorized data service. Record the listed IP or domain, the list name and the observation time. Different lists have different purposes; a result from one does not describe the entire internet.
Investigate the sending source#
Check for compromised accounts, unexpected traffic, bad list acquisition or ignored complaints. If the IP is shared, involve your sending provider. Stop the source of the problem before filing repeated delisting requests.
Follow the operator’s process#
Keep the remediation evidence and monitor for recurrence after removal. MailMaid ReputationWatch describes the intended monitoring workflow, but no continuous DNSBL feed or alert service is active until integrated. An unavailable check must never be displayed as clear.
