Sender reputation

A practical preflight before a large send

Short answer

Review the audience, sending path and stop conditions together.

Check the audience#

Confirm where the list came from and which recipients should still hear from you. Apply unsubscribes, complaints and hard-bounce suppression before verification. A new verification result must never reactivate a suppressed contact automatically.

Test the actual campaign#

Use the final template, sending domain and tracking configuration. Inspect links, reply routing, authentication and unsubscribe behavior. If you have a seed service, use its real results to investigate provider differences.

Decide when to pause#

Assign an owner and agree on a monitoring window. Watch delivery events and complaint signals against your normal baseline. If a sending system changes unexpectedly or failures rise sharply, pause and investigate rather than repeatedly retrying the same audience.
