Inventory more than subscribers#
Export the fields that explain consent, unsubscribes, complaints and bounce suppression. Record which system owns each field and how states map to the new platform. A migration that moves addresses but drops suppression history creates avoidable risk.
Test a small import#
Use a controlled segment to validate custom fields, tags, email casing and duplicate handling. Inspect how the new platform treats existing subscribers. Verify that an update cannot resubscribe a suppressed contact by accident.
Review before the first send#
Check domain authentication, links, reply routing and unsubscribe behavior from the new sending path. Preserve the old exports until reconciliation is complete. MailMaid’s local cleaner helps organize records; it does not migrate subscription state automatically.
